Watching Wind Turbines Come to Life

Here is a great video on the M5000, AREVA Multibrid’s 5 Megawatt offshore wind turbine. AREVA has installed six of these wind-powered giants in the North Sea as part of the Alpha Ventus project.

    Awesome. I especially liked the one shot where the guy on the ground gave the lifting assembly an extra helpful push. It was instinctive to be sure, but a nice touch just the same.
