Excellent point! We hope that would be his motivation as well, and we are looking forward what the next steps will be.

When I heard this remark from President Obama, I thought by citing the specific examples of France and Japan, he might be indicating a better way for America to use nuclear energy would be to employ the closed fuel cycle. This would seem to be congruent with his direction delaying Yucca Mountain and effort to explore nuclear fuel alternatives. I am very proud of President Obama and the openness he shows to good ideas. I'm a more confident than ever that the President will give steady leadership and will work fairly with any energy contributor that provides clean energy for the future.
